"The Power of Prayer", Heinrich Koorts, Thames Valley churches of Christ
Monday Nov 05, 2018
Monday Nov 05, 2018
“The power of prayer is not the result of the person praying, rather the power resides in the God who is being prayed to.”
Mark 1:35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.
Mark 6:46 After leaving them, he went up on a mountainside to pray.
Mark 6:47 Later that night, the boat was in the middle of the lake, and he was alone on land.
Luke 6:12 One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. 13 When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles:
Heb. 5:7 During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.
James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
